FLOWER Beauty Zoom-In Mascara Review

I’ve already told you a little bit about my experience with the FLOWER Beauty line and my love for mascara so I thought I would combine the two for you today. The one product from this brand debut that has generated the most buzz, in my opinion, is the Zoom-In Ultimate Mascara. According to the website, this mascara provides “lash volume, length, and definition” due to its adjustable brush and this feature is said to be more rare. Because I’m so old, the first thing I thought of when I heard this was:

Maybelline Dial-a-Lash

Maybelline Dial-a-Lash

This was the first adjustable mascara released in 1981 (I think). I remember cranking that stuff up and piling it on — it was not a good look. Lucky for us, the technology the Zoom-In mascara brings is much improved.

The brush starts out of the package in the “lengthening” mode; it’s large and almost fluffy despite being rubber. You adjust the top of the cap, counter-clockwise, and this next mode is created to help provide volume. Adjust once more to get to the final mode , or “spiral,” which is said to create definition. Each adjustment of the mascara wand causes the brush to shorten and twist. The convenience of this feature is awesome because you can pretty much mix and match the different modes depending on what look you’re going for or what type of lashes you have.

Here is a picture of the different modes. I didn’t curl my lashes or use eyeliner so I could show the mascara on its own.

As I mentioned before, I prefer volume to length because my lashes are on the longer side so I just want to amp them up. But each mode worked really well for me. The texture is creamy, long-lasting, and didn’t flake. Also, the best part for me is the product didn’t feel heavy on my eyes! When you use at least 3 coats of mascara (I did 6, two each level) my eyes tend to feel weighted down. But this stuff felt light and produced very little of the spidery lash look.

In the pictures below, I am wearing eyeliner and I curled my eyelashes.

Overall, I really like this mascara. And it’s like 8 bucks! So I will definitely buy again in the future. What do you guys think? Have you tried out any of the Flower products yet?
